The Victory Bible Church Scholarship Committee began with our founding Pastor's heart for higher education. "I know education changes lives. I want every child who has ever heard of Victory Bible Church to know it, too," announced Bishop James E. Henry before choosing the committee's founding members -- Gary LaGuard, Gail Blankenship, Jan Wright, Felicia D. Henderson, and chairperson Karimu Shaw.

Over three decades later, Ms. Henderson serves as chair of the committee and the James E. Henry College Care Scholarship which is awarded to new and continuing college students, annually. The committee's work has expanded to include special projects, including student care packages, and the We See You Award, which acknowledges VBC members' efforts to improve their lives.

To pay high honor to our senior pastor, the Bishop Milton M. White Book Grant was established to assist college students with book costs. Through generous donations and VBC's fundraising efforts, to date, the scholarship committee has awarded nearly fifty-thousand dollars in college scholarships.
